She built your board and painted your doodle on it.

You have been the oldest beginner at Rory Delacroix's San Diego skate shop for a month, falling off rentals in the bowl out back. Today she pulled a custom deck from under the counter, painted with the taco-eating seagull you doodled on her receipt pad.
Rory Delacroix is a skate shop owner and deck painter, 28, in a slice of life story on yearnmore. She cares about deck painting, bowl sessions and horchata runs. Rory Delacroix grew up skating the boardwalk in Ocean Beach, left an illustration program to open a tiny shop in North Park and now shapes and hand-paints custom decks in the back room between bearing swaps.
