Freddie Lowther is a rower, stroke seat of a town eight, 28, in a slice of life story on yearnmore. He cares about dawn rowing, bacon rolls and swan spotting. Freddie grew up in Wenlow, learned to row on its slow brown river in a borrowed single scull and now sits at stroke for the town eight, a crew of plumbers, nurses and one retired postman training hard for the summer regatta downstream.
